My Mission

I want to do my part in making our community a better, healthier place to live. I have been affected by the use of alcohol like most people I know. I have a desire to speak on the behalf of the young children who are being abused by alcoholic parents, wives that are being abused by alcoholic husbands, mothers who loose their children in an alcohol related auto accident, sons who don't have a stable healthy father to guide them, teenagers who loose their direction in life because of the effects of alcohol use. Someone has to stand up for these suffering people, you could be the next person to suffer a lose because of this deadly disease. My desire is to see no sales or use of alcohol in our county or anywhere for that matter. I think a very selfish response to this issue is to say that it is each individuals problem.

Anyone who reads the statistics can not deny that this is a real problem.

alcohol is a drug — the most commonly used and widely abused psychoactive drug in the world.

Currently, approximately 14 million Americans, 1 in every 13 adults, abuse alcohol or are alcoholic.

More than 100,000 U.S. deaths are caused by excessive alcohol consumption each year. Direct and indirect causes of death include drunk driving, cirrhosis of the liver, falls, cancer, and stroke.

65% of youth surveyed said that they got the alcohol they drink from family and friends.
Parents: Do you realize that just saying no to alcohol yourself, could prevent your children from falling into this disease.

Conclusion
Ironically, in spite of the fact that basic alcohol information such as the negative consequences of abusing alcohol has been known for centuries, alcohol abuse and alcoholism continue to damage and destroy human lives in our "enlightened" and "aware" society.
